Performance is a function of CODEC, resolution, frame rate, and data rates for the video and audio streams. Recommended combinations should result in optimal quality and smooth performance.
To play back .MP4 and .M4V files in
your PC, it is necessary to download and install QuickTime or
other 3rd party video players.
Transcoding is a file conversion process that converts from one
file format to another format. To transfer and
play .MP4 and .M4V (for example, the video files downloaded from
www.zencast.com) with a ZEN
player, it will be necessary to transcoding these video file to
a support format (.WMV).
You can use Creative Video Converter (Creative Media Toolbox)
to transcode.
To find out the name of the codecs, video resolution etc, open Windows
Media Player 10, highlight the video file being played, and then click
on File and Properties.
